Abstract
The study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the effect of Tinh ky soft pill on serum testosterone levels; sperm count, quality and influence on testicular tissue morphology in experimental studies. Methods: This study was carried out to assess the effect of Tinh ky soft pill on sodium valproate-induced sperm abnormalities in male Wistar rats with doses of 4.08 g/kg/day and 12.24 g/kg/day. Animals were administered orally sodium valproate 500mg/kg/day for 7 weeks. The study product and reference drug were administered orally for 6 weeks, after the end of 7 weeks of oral sodium valproate. Results: Tinh ky soft pill with both test doses increased the concentration of testosterone in the rat's blood by 76.17% and 85.08% compared to the model batch (p<0.05), increased sperm density and motility, reduced the percentage of sperm with abnormal structural morphology and restored spermatogenesis diameter compared with the model group (p <0.05), those effects were equivalent to testosterone and there was no difference in 2 doses of Tinh ky solf pills (p>0.05).
