Abstract

Morinda citrifolia L is a woody plant primarily distributed in the Southern region of Viet Nam. Its main natural regeneration form is through seeds. The research results on the influence of the growth regulator GA₃ (Gibberellic acid) and soaking time on the germination capability of noni seeds using the seed sowing method indicate that: The growth regulator GA₃ at concentrations ranging from 500 ppm to 3000 ppm helps increase the germination rate of noni seeds and shortens the germination time. From the concentration of 3500 ppm to 4000 ppm, there is an inhibitory effect on the germination process of the seeds. The survival rate of noni seedlings is over 70%. For a soaking time of 12 hours, the concentration of 3000 ppm yields a germination rate of 67.22%, with germination starting from the 20th day to the 30th day after sowing. For a soaking time of 24 hours, the germination rate is 50.56%, with germination starting from around the 20th day to the 29th day after sowing
